AUSTIN, Texas — Tesla has entered the certified pre-owned market for its Cybertruck, listing used Foundation Series examples on its website starting at $66,200 — giving buyers a Tesla-backed path to the stainless steel pickup without navigating private-party listings or third-party dealers.

Direct Sales, Nationwide Delivery

The program, confirmed June 2 by Tesla watcher Sawyer Merritt, covers both Foundation and non-Foundation Series Cybertrucks from Tesla's own inventory. Buyers can have any listed truck delivered to the Tesla delivery center of their choice anywhere in the continental United States, with transport fees ranging from $500 to $2,500 depending on distance. Those transport fees are non-refundable and collected at the time of ordering.

The lowest-priced example spotted in the new inventory — a Foundation Series carrying 2,566 miles — was listed at $66,200, a meaningful discount from the Cybertruck's original Foundation Series starting price.

Perks Vary by Trim

Tesla is sweetening the deal with complimentary trial packages, though what buyers receive depends on which Cybertruck they choose.

Foundation Series buyers get three months of Full Self-Driving (Supervised), three months of free Supercharging, and three months of Premium Connectivity included with the purchase. Non-Foundation models receive a shorter bundle: one month of FSD and one month of Premium Connectivity.

Neither package includes permanent FSD ownership — these are trial periods meant to give buyers a meaningful taste of the software before potentially subscribing. The distinction matters for buyers weighing long-term software costs.

A Logical Next Step

Tesla removed the no-resale clause for Cybertruck Foundation Series owners in August 2024, which unlocked the secondary market for those early vehicles. This new certified direct-sale program is the natural follow-on — Tesla exerts control over pricing and the buyer experience rather than leaving both to the unpredictability of private-party listings.

For the broader EV market, it mirrors what Tesla has done successfully with its other vehicles: owning both the new and used sales channel to maintain brand consistency and customer trust throughout the ownership lifecycle.

What Buyers Should Know

Anyone interested in a used Cybertruck through Tesla's website should be prepared to move quickly. Foundation Series units — which carry a stronger trial bundle and were produced in lower initial volumes — are likely to attract strong demand once the program gains wider attention.

The nationwide delivery model also means geography is no longer a constraint. A buyer in Montana can order a truck from Texas without visiting a dealership, consistent with Tesla's long-standing direct-sales model.

As Cybertruck production ramps at Gigafactory Texas and more units cycle through initial ownership windows, the used inventory is expected to grow steadily over the coming months. For buyers who missed the initial allocation wave, this program is now the most straightforward way to get into a Cybertruck at a competitive price point.
