SAN FRANCISCO — xAI's Grok 4.3 can now generate production-ready Microsoft Office files — Word documents, PowerPoint presentations, and Excel spreadsheets — natively through the Grok interface, marking a significant expansion of the AI assistant's enterprise capabilities. The feature, part of xAI's Grok Skills system, brings document creation directly into the AI workflow without requiring users to switch between applications or manually format outputs.
Elon Musk first teased Office integration in April 2026 during a live xAI demo session, showing Grok turning structured prompts into styled corporate documents in seconds. The full rollout to all users came in May 2026, bringing the capability beyond the $300-per-month SuperGrok tier.
What Grok Can Now Build
The document generation suite covers the core Microsoft Office stack with meaningful depth in each format.
For Word documents, Grok generates fully formatted files that preserve heading hierarchies, tables, bullet lists, and consistent styling throughout. Users can generate polished proposals, contracts, legal memos, and resumes from a natural-language description. Grok can also ingest an existing Word file and restructure, expand, or polish its contents.
For PowerPoint presentations, Grok builds complete slide decks with strong visual hierarchy, speaker notes, and layout choices appropriate to the use case — pitch decks, quarterly reviews, academic presentations, and client workshops each receive formatting tailored to their context. In demonstrations, Grok converted a dense neuroscience paper into a clean nine-slide academic deck in under a minute.
