Tesla Opens Fifth India Experience Center in Hyderabad

AUSTIN, Texas — Tesla is deepening its push into the world's most populous country, opening its fifth India Experience Center in Hyderabad's HITEC City and putting its newest Model Y lineup on display for buyers across Telangana.

The showroom, located in the Knowledge City area of Madhapur, opened on June 17 and adds a major southern technology hub to a retail network that has expanded rapidly since Tesla's formal India debut. Customers can take guided tours and interactive demonstrations led by Tesla Advisors covering the company's EV technology, safety systems, performance, and design.

A Growing Footprint in a Strategic Market

India represents one of Tesla's most promising long-term growth opportunities, and the Hyderabad center signals how seriously the company is treating it. Beyond the showroom, Tesla has begun delivery and after-sales operations from its Bollaram Industrial Area facility in the city, strengthening service support for owners in the region.

The momentum mirrors the manufacturing strength that has kept Tesla atop quality and value rankings elsewhere, including its recognition as the maker of the most domestically built cars in the United States, as detailed in our report on Tesla topping the American-Made Index.

Two Model Y Variants on Display

The centerpiece is the 2026 Model Y Premium Rear-Wheel Drive, a five-seater that Tesla says accelerates from 0 to 100 km/h in 5.9 seconds and offers a WLTP-rated range of up to 500 km. It is priced at Rs 50.89 lakh ex-showroom, with deliveries set to begin in July 2026.

Alongside it sits the larger Model Y L, a three-row, six-seat family variant with a WLTP-certified range of up to 681 km, a 0-100 km/h time of 5.0 seconds, and as much as 2,539 liters of cargo space. The Model Y L starts at Rs 61.99 lakh ex-showroom, and full specifications are available on Tesla's official India site.

Incentives to Drive Early Demand

To encourage early orders, Tesla is offering a complimentary Wall Connector home charger to customers who book before June 30. Both models can be reserved through Tesla's India website, and the company is leaning on the same value-focused approach that has worked in other markets, echoing moves like its 0% APR financing on the Model Y.

With a fifth center now open and deliveries beginning next month, Tesla's India strategy is shifting from cautious entry to genuine expansion. If demand in Hyderabad mirrors the enthusiasm seen in its other showrooms, the country could become a meaningful pillar of Tesla's global growth story in the years ahead.
