AUSTIN, Texas — Tesla is leaning into road-trip season with a new Summer Collection of lifestyle gear built specifically for its vehicles. Unveiled on July 3 through the online Tesla Shop, the lineup turns the Model Y and Cybertruck into camp-ready adventure machines just as North American travel hits its summer peak.

The drop is a reminder that Tesla''s appeal extends well beyond the drivetrain — the company keeps designing accessories around how owners actually live with their cars.

A fridge that fits the frunk-to-trunk life

The headliner is the $595 Model Y Dual Zone Fridge, a plug-and-play unit engineered to slot perfectly into the Model Y''s sub-trunk. It offers two independent compartments that can each be set anywhere from 0°F to +68°F, plugs directly into the 12V outlet, holds 37 quarts and works across all Model Y model years. It''s the kind of thoughtful, vehicle-specific touch that has helped make the Model Y the backbone of Tesla''s record-setting sales, including its recent record 480,126-vehicle quarter.

Alongside the fridge, Tesla added a $245 soft-sided Model Y Cooler shaped for the frunk and a $165 Model Y Canopy that mounts to the liftgate for roughly 48 square feet of UV 50+, waterproof shade.

Gear for the Cybertruck crowd

Cybertruck owners get their own headline item: a $295 Air Mattress with six-inch high-density foam, a waterproof exterior and an integrated 120V pump that inflates the truck bed into a mobile bedroom. It''s compatible with the official CyberTent, extending the stainless-steel pickup''s overlanding credentials and giving the growing Cybertruck community another reason to head off-grid.

Rounding out the collection is a $125 On the Road Chair — an aluminum, swivel-seat camp chair that folds into its own storage bag — plus limited-edition Electric Summer graphic tees for $35 that feature playful artwork of Optimus, Model 3, Model Y and a Supercharger.

A brand that sells a lifestyle

The Summer Collection is currently exclusive to the North American storefront, though Tesla typically expands popular accessories to other markets over time. Each item is engineered to stow neatly in a Tesla''s trunk or frunk, reinforcing the idea that the vehicles are platforms for adventure, not just transportation. Shoppers can browse the full lineup directly on the official Tesla Shop.

With camping and tailgate gear this dialed-in, Tesla is betting that owners will keep spending inside its ecosystem long after they drive off the lot — and given how quickly the brand''s custom accessories tend to sell out, these summer staples may not stay in stock for long.
