SAN FRANCISCO — xAI is opening the doors on Grok Bot Galaxy, a three-day event running September 15 to 17 that aims to show, in practical terms, what happens when you hand real work to an AI agent. The gathering combines in-person sessions at The Howard in San Francisco with a full livestream anyone can follow, and its pitch is refreshingly concrete: put Grok Bot on actual tasks and watch it deliver.
A Working Classroom for Grok
Rather than a keynote-and-slides affair, Galaxy is built around live building. Daytime programming, roughly 8:30 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. Pacific each day, follows a team building a product from scratch with Grok Bot, then breaks into role-specific tracks. September 15 covers Grok Bot 101, engineering, product managers, and founders; the 16th moves through sales engineering, sales, and customer support; the 17th runs marketing operations and post-sales before a closing showcase, as xAI outlined on its official Galaxy event page.
The framing reflects how far Grok has traveled from a chatbot. xAI now positions Grok Bot as a persistent agent that can be assigned named tasks and keep working while a user is offline, each with its own memory, computing environment, browser access, and files. Recent additions include sales connectors for major CRM platforms and native mobile apps, extending the assistant well beyond the chat window.
Momentum Behind the Event
Galaxy lands as xAI keeps pressing Grok into daily workflows across Musk's companies. The assistant already reaches into the car, where Grok can now control almost anything in a Tesla through voice, and the model itself is on a steady upgrade path that Musk has mapped out publicly, from Grok 4.8 finishing training toward the road to Grok 5.
