Tesla Cuts Cybertruck Windshield Plan to $25 a Month

AUSTIN, Texas — Tesla is handing Cybertruck owners a rare price cut, lowering the monthly cost of its Windshield Protection Plan from $35 to $25 with no reduction in coverage.

The new rate applies to the first payment on or after October 1, 2026, according to notices Tesla has begun sending U.S. subscribers and first reported by TeslaNorth. The $10 monthly reduction trims the annual bill from $420 to $300, a $120 saving for owners who keep the plan through the year.

Same Coverage, Lower Price

Everything the plan already offered stays in place. It still covers unlimited repairs for chips and minor cracks on the front windshield, one full glass replacement every 12 months at no extra charge, and a $100 deductible for any additional replacements in the same year. Tesla launched the Cybertruck windshield plan at $35 a month in August 2025, and this is the first time the company has moved that subscription downward. Owners manage the plan in the Tesla app under Upgrades, then Service Plans, and no long-term contract is required.
