AUSTIN, Texas — One of Tesla's most-loved software features has jumped off the touchscreen and into the merchandise aisle. On Aug. 27, Tesla introduced a nine-product Dog Mode collection in its online shop, turning the friendly on-screen pup that reassures passersby into a line of toys, apparel, and accessories for owners and their pets.
The lineup leans into the charm that made the feature famous. Dog Mode keeps the cabin climate comfortable for pets while displaying a message and a cheerful animal avatar on the screen, and Tesla has steadily expanded it — even renaming it Pet Mode and adding cat and hedgehog avatars along the way. The new collection celebrates that history with something for nearly every fan.
What Is in the Collection
The nine items span four categories. For dogs, there is a reversible $15 Dog Mode Bandana with a gray-and-black Tesla logo pattern and a $20 non-toxic rubber Chew Toy with a hollow center for treats. For kids, Tesla added a $20 Cyberhog Onesie, a $30 Kids Cyberhog Tee, a $30 Kids Optimus Dog Mode Tee depicting Optimus hugging the Pet Mode dog, and a $30 Kids Dog Mode Tee.
The standout is likely the $35 Tesla Dog Mode Plushie, a soft version of the on-screen dog that fans have wanted for years. The plastic Dog Mode figure has been a perennial hit in the shop, and the plushie looks poised to follow suit. Rounding out the collection are two $145 pet liners — one tailored to the Cybertruck's second row and another that fits Model S, Model 3, and most Model Y vehicles — each with a water-resistant hammock-style liner and door protectors.
